Seems like it’s living up to the hype so far. How much does a kidney go for these days?

You’re going to need two, just for the grille

According to Google: “$262,000 in the U.S., $62,000 in China, $15,000 in India.”

Thanks Google.

Sadly, local dealers are applying a 40% markup on these. You’ll never touch one under 70. We need a little French-style revolution ‘round heyarh.

Side note: I am impressed that they were allowed to push that hard following Bill Auberlen. He dun had some lead on em too.

Awesome.

You can sometimes get around that by doing a European delivery. The cars delivered via Europe delivery don’t come out of the dealers inventory or allotment, so they are more inclined to let you get out the door close to MSRP.

Eh...give it time, these won’t be limited run like the 1M. I predict by next year you will be able to get one for MSRP or under. The right dealer may even order you one for sticker now.

Nice! Did they get special permission to release their video early? Seems like we’d be seeing tons of reviews if the embargo was really over.

This. If you do ED you can buy the car from ANY dealer in the U.S. If they want you to pay markup, tell em to pound sand. They make $500-$1000 for a couple of hours of work and it doesn’t come out of their allotment.

That’s what I thought. I know it all went down last week, and everyone else is dying to release their videos for view counts.

Here’s a shot from Motor Trend that really shows how flared those rear fenders are. I’m really glad to hear it’s great. Nice to have a modern BMW in the lineup to aspire to own in 5 years or so!

I’m very patient..... I’ve never bought a new car. I usually wait till they come off lease. This may be “the one” though. I can wait till the frenzy is over for a year. Might not be a bad idea to wait and make sure the rod bearings are ok anyway.

That’s what the hospital charges you to RECIEVE a new kidney. I want to know what they actually give the donors...
